Rohingya refugee detained in Manikganj

A Rohingya refugee was detained from Saturia upazila of Manikganj district this morning.

Locals informed police of a suspicious youth in Shekhorinagar village, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Saturia Police Station Aminur Rahman.

On information, police detained the youth and later ascertained his identity as Rohingya refugee Arafat, 35, into custody, the OC said.

Earlier, two Rohingya people were detained from Saturia upazila and 20 others from Singair upazila of the district. They were sent to refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar.
