Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today arrested eight including six Dhaka University students for their alleged involvement in leaking question papers of the university's "Gha" unit admission test.

Toyon and Akash were arrested from different parts of Dhaka last night, said Additional Special Superintendent of CID Minhazul Islam.

The racket used different high-tech gadgets for leaking the question papers, the CID official said.

With the help of DU’s proctorial body, we were able to arrest the two prime suspects of this racket, he added.

On October 20, two Chhatra League leaders and an admission seeker at Dhaka University were arrested over leaking the question paper of the university's honours admission test.

A mobile court also jailed 12 examinees under “Gha” unit for a month each for using an electronic device during the one-hour exam that began at 10:00am.

A number of students alleged that some admission seekers received e-mails containing questions of the English part of the exam around eight hours before the exam began.
