One killed in Khilgaon police firing

A man was killed in police firing in the city’s Khilgaon area of Dhaka early Friday.

Nagendra Kumar Das, sub-inspector (SI) of Khilgaon Police Station, said a gunfight took place between a gang of robbers and a team of police at Sheikher Jayga in Khilgaon area around 2:00am.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 3:00am.

Three policemen were also injured in the incident. They were being treated at the hospital, the SI said.
