2 held with 85,000 Yaba pills in Chittagong

Detectives of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested two young men along with 85,000 Yaba tablets from a bus counter in Colonel Hat area of the port city on Sunday morning.

The arrestees were identified as Md Ehsan Prokash Nurul Alam, son of Md Jafor Alam, and Rahmatullah, 20, son of late Gafur Alam, hailing from Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar.

Being tipped off that three young men were going to Dhaka from Teknaf along with the Yaba, a team of Detective Branch of police raided in a mini truck in Shaymali Paribahan bus counter and recovered the Yaba worth Tk 2.50crore from the vehicle, said A A M Humayun Kabir, additional deputy commissioner of DB police.

Later, the team arrested two of them while another Nurul Amin managed to flee away.

A case was filed with Akbar Shah Police Station.
