Arms recovered in Jessore

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh recovered a pistol from MP Intersection in Sharsha upazila on Tuesday evening. 

Tipped off that a group of arms dealers were trading firearms at MP intersection, a BGB team conducted a drive there around 6 pm, said Lt Col Ariful Haque, commanding officer of 49 BGB of Jessore. 

However, sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the arms traders fled scene. 

Later, the BGB personnel recovered a pistol and handed it over to Benapole Port Police Station.
