Cop stabbed at Gulistan

Miscreants stabbed and injured a police officer at Gulistan in the capital city this morning.

The criminals all of a sudden stabbed Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Anis of Nawabpur Police Camp with sharp weapons in front of Sundarban Square Market at Gulistan under Bangshal Police Station around 8:30 this morning, hospital and police sources said.

The official with critical injury marks on neck, cheek and shoulder is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. 

After hearing the news, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia visited Anis at the hospital. 

Efforts are on to capture the criminals involved with the incident, police said.
