5 teachers suspended for negligence of duty at SSC exam hall

Five assistant teachers of different schools in Matlab South upazila have been suspended for negligence of duty in the SSC examinations on Saturday in Chandpur.

They were discharging duties at the exam halls at Matlab J B Pilot High School Centre when Bengali 2nd paper exam was held.

The teachers are Md Khorshed Alam Majumder and Khokan Chandra Majumder- assistant teachers of Kalikapur High School, Md Billal Hossain, assistant teacher of Narayanpur Popular High School, Md Jahirul Islam, assistant teacher of Lakshibour Feroza Begum High school and Mizanur Rahman, assistant teacher of Aswinpur High School- all under Matlab South Upazila.

Contacted, Md Borhanuddin Khan, headmaster of the school and also centre secretary, said the teachers were suspended from the exam duty by executive magistrate Assistant Commissioner (Land) Irin Akter for negligence of duties.
