Leaders of 14-party alliance to visit Rajshahi May 15

Central leaders of Awami League-led 14-party alliance led by its spokesman, Awami League presidium member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim, will visit Rajshahi city on May 15 (Sunday). 

A statement issued today by 14-party alliance's office coordinator and deputy office secretary of Awami League Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das said that as part of its central programme in protest against the BNP-Jamaat's repeated secret killings, terrorism, anarchy, militant activities and anti-democracy and anti-state conspiracies, the leaders of the alliance will pay a visit to Rajshahi city to take part in a number of events there.

The Rajshahi visit of the 14-party alliance leaders is also aimed at lodging protest against shameless falsehood resorted to by BNP-Jamaat combine against Bangabandhu's grandson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy.

During the visit, the 14-party leaders will attend a teachers' solidarity gathering at the Senate Hall of Rajshahi University at 12 noon and address a view exchange meeting with a cross section of people. 

Later, the 14-party leaders will pay a visit to the residence of the teacher of Rajshahi University (Prof Rezaul Karim Siddique), who was killed recently by assailants, and hold talks with his family members, the statement added.
