3 killed in Gopalganj road crash

Three workers were killed as a truck carrying them plunged into a roadside ditch at Satashia village in Kashiani upazila on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Bikash Mandal, Mathbindu Sarder and Rabidranath Sarder, hailing from Satkhira district.

Mazharul Haque, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Kashiani Police Station, said the accident took place around 1pm when the paddy-laden truck plunged into the ditch, leaving three workers dead on the spot and five others injured.
