40 held in Satkhira anti-drug drive

Police in a drive detained 40 people, including seven suspected drug traders from different areas in Satkhira from Sunday night to Monday morning.

Among the detainees six people were arrested from Sadar upazila, six from Kolaroa and Shyamnagar upazila each, five from Tala upazila, seven from Kaliganj upazila, five from Assasuni upazila, three from Debhata upazila and two from Patkelghata upazila, said Ajam Khan, inspector of Satkhira district special branch.

Police also recovered 249 bottles of Phensidyl from different spots.
