Two minors drown in Faridpur pond

Two minor were drowned in a pond in Doksim Tepakhola area in the district town on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Tabassum Reshma, 7, daughter of Lokman Meridha and Safayet Meridha, 5, son of Jakir Meridha. Both of them are from the same village.
Locals said the two minors were playing near the pond and suddenly slipped into it around 10:30 am.
Later, locals rescued them and rushed them to Faridapur General Hospital where the duty doctor declared the duo dead, said Municipality Councillor Mahfuzur Rahman.
