3 killed, 5 critically injured in road crash

Three people were killed and 30 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Dhamrai upazila of Dhaka on Friday evening.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Witnesses said a 'Sujamukhi Paribahan' bus collided with a 'Setu Paribahan' bus at Joypura bus stand on Dhaka-Aricha highway around 7:00pm, leaving three people dead on the spot and 30 others injured.

The injured were taken to Dhamrai upazila health complex where the condition of five of them was stated to be critical, said sub-inspector Julfiker Haid of Dhamrai police station.
