Youth stabbed dead in Cumilla

A young man was stabbed to death by another youth at Bishnupur Daskshinpara in the city early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Sujon, 20, son of Mizan Miah of Mohichail area in Chandina upazila, used to live in a rented house with his family in the area and ran a decorator shop.
Victim’s father Mizan Miah, said after Sujon returned from his shop at night, Tota Rubel, son of Manik, of Bishnupur area, called him over phone to meet him.
Hearing that Tota took his son to an under-construction building and stabbed him they rushed to the spot and rescued Sujon, he said.
They admitted him to Comilla Medical College Hospital.
As his condition was critical, he was referred to Dhaka and he died on the way.
Abdus Salam Miah, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model thana, said that police are trying to arrest Tota.
