Garment employee murdered in Savar

A garment employee hacked to death at Jamgora Kathaltala area under Ashulia thana on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Sumon Sikder,30,an employee of the "Rose Dresses" garment factory in Jamgora area and son of Ali Sikder.

Police said a gang of criminals indiscriminately chopped Sumon by sharp weapon leaving him critically injured when he went out of his home. The unknown assailants fled from the scene immediately after the incident.

The relatives and locals rescued Sumon from the spot as he raised hue and cry for help. Later, he was rushed to the local Women and Children Hospital in critical condition where attending doctors declared him dead. 

Being informed, Police sent the dead body to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.

Moshinul Kader, officer-in-charge of Ashulia thana,confirmed the incident.
