Bullet-hit body found in Cox’s Bazar

Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a young man from a beach of the Bay of Bengal in Teknaf upazila on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Hanif, 28, son of late Siddique Ahmed of Sabrang union.

Locals spotted the body at Baharchharar Noakhalipara beach in the morning and informed police, said Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station.

Later, a team of police, led by in-charge of Baharchhara police investigation camp Anwar Hossain, recovered the body.

Victim’s family sources said Hanif had been missing for the last eight days.
