2 held with 400 bottles of phensidyl syrup in Jessore

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive detained two alleged drug peddlers with 400 bottles of contraband phensidyl syrup from a frontier village in Sharsha upazila of the district on Tuesday.
The arrested persons were identified as Shafiqul Gazi,30,and Mehedi Hassan,23 of Rudrapur village under the same upazila.
Major Abdullah Al Mehedi, company commander of RAB-6 Jessore, said the raid was conducted on the basis of secret information and arrested the drug peddlers with the contraband Indian syrups from Kaiba border village.
A case was recorded with Sharsha thana under the Narcotic Controlled Act in this connection
