13 shops gutted in Faridpur fire

Thirteen shops were gutted in a fire which broke out at Satroshi Bazar in Sadarpur upazila early Friday.

Faridpur Fire service station officer Saifuzzaman said the fire broke out in a shop around 3 am and spread soon.

On information, three firefighting units went to the spot and extinguished the blaze after one and a half  hours of frantic efforts.

The affected shop owners claimed that extent of loss caused by the fire could go up to 1 one crore.
