Woman crushed by train in Chattogram

A woman was crushed to death by a train in Ponthisila Hadipara area of Sitakunda Upazila on Thursday.
The 62-year-old victim was named as Wahida Begum, the wife of late Safiul Alam of Hadipara.
She was run over by Chattogram-bound ‘Sonar Bangla’ train while walking on the tracks around noon, Sub-Inspector Nur Mohammad of Sitakunda Railway Police said, quoting locals.
She was killed on the spot.
Police recovered the body and handed it over to the family.
