The government has summoned the Myanmar acting ambassador in Dhaka over its deliberate attempt to show St Martin’s as their territory.
Foreign Affairs Ministry issued a letter in this regard on Thursday.
According to the letter, the acting ambassador of Myanmar has been asked to visit the foreign affairs ministry office at 3 pm today.
Earlier in October last year, Myanmar took the same attempt and was handed over a strong-worded protest note.
In response, the Myanmar ambassador then acknowledged the matter saying that it was a mistake to show St. Martin’s as their territory.
The government summoned Myanmar envoy five times in last two months over various issues.
