Bangladesh, Iran to celebrate Nowruz, Noboborsho in Dhaka

A discussion event followed by a cultural programme will be held in the city on Friday on the occasion of Iranian Nowruz and Bangla Noboborsho.

Iran Cultural Centre and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will jointly organise them at Shilpakala.

The state minister for shipping will be present as chief guest while Prof Dr Kazem Kahdouei, Iranian visiting professor, Dept of Persian Language and Literature, University of Dhaka, and Mamunur Rashid, eminent drama director and actor, will be present as special guests.

Liaquat Ali Lucky, director general of Shilpakala Academy, will preside over the programme.

Cultural performances will be presented by students of Persian Language and Literature Department, and performers of Shilpakala Academy.
