5 killed as bus hits roadside tree in Bagerhat

At least five people were killed and 10 others injured as a bus crashed into a roadside tree at Foltita in Fakirhat upazila on Saturday morning.

Two of the deceased were identified as Hekmat 50, and Farhad, 50. 

Robiul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bagerhat highway police, said the accident took place around 9 am when the Mollarhat-bound bus from Rupsha crashed into the roadside tree after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving five people  dead on the spot.
