Natore’s train communication with Dhaka was restored on Thursday morning after a brief disruption.

The communication was snapped for nearly three and a half hours after a cargo truck got stuck on the tracks around 2:30am, police said.

“Several inter-city trains were stranded at various stations,” said Sub-Inspector Mozammel Haq, in-charge of Jhalmalia police outpost.

The rail link was restored after police removed the truck around 6:15am, he said.

There was no report of any casualty.
