DIG Mizan must face music: Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Mizanur Rahman must be punished over bribery, if the allegation against him is proved.

In reply to a question of a journalist, the minister made the comment at a programme in the capital on Wednesday.

Asaduzzaman Khan said, “Why DIG Mizan was involved in bribery? Definitely, he has weaknesses. Otherwise, he couldn’t do that. He indulged in bribery for concealing his shortcomings. The trial process is going on against the allegations brought against him.”
