Ershad’s health condition improving

Jatiya Party (JP) acting chairman GM Quader has said the health condition of party chairman HM Ershad is improving.

The JP acting chairman came up with the information at a press briefing at Jatiya Party office in city’s Banani on Wednesday.

GM Quader said, “The doctors of the hospital are hoping that his (Ershad) health condition will improve in the next two-three days. He is being able to breathe normally.

Now his condition is satisfactory. But the doctors are not saying that he is out of danger. He is still under intensive care.”  

Ershad, now undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, was given oxygen support as his health condition worsened on Sunday.

The former president was admitted to CMH on June 27.
