Barrister Sumon sued under Digital Security Act

A case has been filed against Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon under the Digital Security Act for hurling abusive words at the followers of Hindu religion.
Gowtam Kumar Adbor, a social worker at Bhasantek area of the capital, filed the case with the Cyber Crime Tribunal in Dhaka on Monday.
Sumon Kumar Roy, a lawyer of Gowtam confirmed the news.
In the case statement, plaintiff Gowtam wrote that in a Facebook live video, Sumon made derogatory comments on July 19 that hurt religious sentiment of the Hindu community.
