Sample of foreign medicine to reach today

Lawyers of Dhaka North and South City Corporations informed the High Court (HC) that the sample of foreign medicine in preventing mosquitoes will reach in Bangladesh on Thursday by a special flight.

They informed the HC bench of Justice Tarik Ul Hakim and Justice Sohrawardi today. 

The lawyers said the primary experiment on the effectiveness of the medicine will be conducted at a laboratory of Mohakhali in Dhaka.  

The HC, however, raised question as to why the two city corporations in Dhaka did not take effective measures during the outbreak of Dengue.

The city corporations have failed to prevent mosquito menace, the HC also said.
