Man found dead in Khulna

The floating body of a an employee of  Khulna Government Women’s College was recovered from a pond at the college premises on Thursday night.

The deceased was identified as Faruk Sohel, 30, a computer operator of the college.

Faruk used to live at the college premises with his family.

Quoting family members, Fire Service inspector Nurul Alam Raju, said Faruk went to the pond to perform wudu before Isha prayers and remained missing.

Later, divers conducted a rescue operation around 11 pm and recovered the body of Faruk around 1:30 am, he said.

Faruk might have slipped into the pond and drowned, he said.
