Khulna city goes under rainwater

Heavy monsoon rain inundated most parts of the city on Saturday, inflicting immense sufferings on the city dwellers.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department recorded 114 millimeters rain in six hours till 9 am.

Most of the areas including Satrasta and Royal Hotel intersections, Iqubalnagar, Moulvipara, Nirala, Khalishpur and Dowlatpur get waterlogged after the heavy downpour that started at 3am.

All the shops and business establishments remained closed till filing of this report at 11 am.
