By-poll to Rangpur-3: BNP to sell nomination papers on September 5

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Thursday (September 5) will sell nomination forms for the by-election of Rangpur-3 that remained vacant for the death of Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi revealed this information at a press conference at the party’s central office at Nayapaltan in the capital on Tuesday.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, “The nomination forms for the by-poll of Rangpur-3 will be sold on September 5. Nomination papers have to be submitted on September 6. Nomination aspirants will face interview to the nomination board of the party at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan Office in the capital on September 7.”
He also said, “The aspirants will have to pay Tk 10,000 for collecting nomination forms and also have to deposit Tk 25,000 when they will submit the forms.”
The press conference was attended by BNP leaders incliding Nitai Roy Chowdhury, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Abdus Salam Azad, Afroza Abbas, Sultana Ahmed.
