Raid at Mohammedan, Victoria sporting clubs

Police are conducting raids at Mohammedan, Victoria sporting clubs in Dhaka.
The raids began on Sunday afternoon.
Sabujbagh (Khilgaon Zone) Superintendent of Police (SP) Monalisa Begum told, “The raid began at Mohammedan club around 2:45pm. We have found a huge casino set up here.
“After seizing the equipment, we have locked up the club.”
Confirming the matter, Motijheel police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Omar Faruk said: “Our deputy commissioner was present on the spot during the raid. Details regarding the matter will be disclosed later.”
Confirming about the raid at Victoria club, DMP Assistant Commissioner Mishu Biswas told : “We will conduct a raid at Dilkusha and Arambagh clubs.”
Several people were also detained in these raids.
