‘Drug trader’ killed in ‘gunfight’ in Teknaf

A suspected drug trader was killed in a “gunfight” with police in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday midnight.

The incident took place at Noukaghat area adjacent to Maheshkhalia Para of the marine drive of the upazila.  

The deceased was identified as Aziz, son of Dailpara of the Sadar Union of Teknaf.

Police claimed that he was a drug trader.

The law enforcers recovered a pistol, seven rounds of cartridges and 3000 pieces of Yaba tablets.
