Couple’s hanging bodies found at Ashulia house

Police recovered the hanging bodies of couple from a house at Buribazar of Ashulia in Dhaka on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Parvez Mia, 26 and his wife Sadia Akhter, 23, both garment workers.

Confirming the matter, Rezaul Haque Dipu, officer-in-charge of Ashulia police station, said being informed by locals police recovered the bodies hanging in a room.

The bodies were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he said adding that the couple might have committed suicide.

Parvez’s mother said her son and Sadia used to lock in altercation over family matters.
