ACC seizes DPDC executive director Ramiz's assets

The movable and immovable property of Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) executive director engineer Md Ramiz Uddin Sarker have been seized by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The ACC deputy director Pranab Kumar Bhattachariya told media that a team of the ACC confiscated Ramiz's assets on Sunday.
The DPDC deputy director has property in the capital, Gazipur and Cumilla, he added.

Earlier on October 6, the graft watchdog's assistant director Muhammad Joynal Abedin lodged a case with the ACC coordinated district office Dhaka-1 against Ramiz.
The ACC during its inquiry found his wealth worth Tk 9,65,03,609, but the DPDC official concealed information of wealth worth Tk 1,18,92000 in his wealth statement submitted to the commission.
