Heavy currents disrupt Paturia-Daulatdia ferry services

Ferry service in Paturia-Daulatdia route has been disrupted since this morning due to strong current and poor navigability in the Padma river.

Hundreds of vehicles – passenger buses and goods-laden trucks – were stranded on both ends of the key route.

Zillur Rahman, acting DGM of BIWTC (Paturia), said: "Ferry communication is being disrupted due to poor navigability. Besides, trips have been omitted."
