Jahangirnagar University students vow to continue protest until VC's resignation

Protesting teachers and students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) continued their protest, taking position in front of her residence, demanding resignation of Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Farzana Islam.

Over 100 students took position in front of the VC’s residence on Monday evening, demanding her resignation over allegations of corruption.

The protesters under the banner of ‘Jahangirnagar Against Corruption’ brought a procession starting from the old academic building on the campus marching towards the VC's residence and took position in front of it around 7:30 pm, witnesses said.

The protesters said they will only move from the area after she resigns, our Jahangirnagar University correspondent reports from the spot.
