Prime Minister comes back from Madrid

Early Wednesday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Dhaka to wrap up her visit to Spain after attending Monday's 25th conference of the Conference of the Parties (COP25) in Madrid.

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines VVIP plane carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage arrived at 12:50 am at the capital's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Earlier on Tuesday, the flight started at 9:30 am (local time) from Madrid Torrejon Airport.

Hassan Mahmood Khandker, Bangladesh's ambassador and permanent representative to the World Tourism Organization, saw her off at the airport.

The Prime Minister went to Madrid, the federal capital of Spain, last Sunday, and attended COP25's annual and other meetings. 

Under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the 12-day annual climate summit, COP25, kicked off in Madrid on Monday.

Sheikh Hasina met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and  on the sidelines of the meeting.

 In fact, a public reception was attended by the Prime Minister in Madrid.
