Man gets off moving bus to avert arrest over harassment allegation

A 25-year-old man was crushed under the wheels of a bus when he was hurriedly getting down of the moving vehicle after two women passengers brought allegation against him of sexual harassment in port city on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Ismail, resident of Satkania upazila in Chattogram, was a worker at a steel re-rolling mill in Faujdarhat.
Confirming the news, Md Nijam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Makulia Police Station, said that Islamil allegedly harassed two sisters on the bus around 11:00am.
When the other passengers threatened to call 999 and hand him over to police, he tried to get down of the bus hurriedly.
As soon as he got off the running bus, he came under wheel of the bus in Notun Bridge area.
Later, police took him to Chattogram medical College Hospital (CMCH) where doctors declared him dead, the OC also said.
