Gazetted freedom fighter becomes Razakar!

A gazetted freedom fighter's name has now been placed on the Razakars list as the government published a list of 10,789 Razakars who supported the 1971 Liberation War and committed wartime crimes on Sunday in collaboration with the Pakistani occupation forces.

The freedom fighter has been named as the advocate Tapan Kumar chakraborty.

Having found Tapan Kumar's name on the list of Razakars, his daughter Dr. Manisha Chakraborty, expressed great regret and shared a status on her Facebook page. Manisha, a  leader of Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BSD), called the incident a "political workaround."
