FFs’ name in Razakers’ lists mysterious

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday expressed her doubt over the unfortunate incident of posting many Freedom Fighters’ name in the lists of Razakars. She called the anomalies in lists mysterious.

The ruling party Awami League chief came up with her suspect while delivering the introductory speech in the meeting of Awami League Central Executive Committee at her official residence Ganabhaban.

“A misunderstanding has ensued over the Razakars’ lists. It’s been a very poor job,” she commented.

“I already asked the Ministry of Home to check all the files. A very bad thing has happened. Many freedom fighters’ name were included in the lists. After August 15, 1971, Ziaur Rahman, Ershad and Khaleda Zia used that lists. They listed whoever joined the Liberation War as terrorist or sued them listing under various charges,” she said.

“There is separate gazette, who were Razakars. It is not Razakars’ list at all. All, who saw the list, got hurt. There is nothing more miserable or painful if those were called Razakar who fought for the independence of the country. I would like to ask them, who forced to bear such pain, to be calm. You should know lists of Razakar, Al Badar, Al Shams are published as gazette. You can found these lists if you check newspapers published in 1971,” Sheikh Hasina said.
