Biman’s ‘Sonar Tari’ and ‘Achin Pakhi’ inaugurated

On Saturday, at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated two dreamliners ' Sonar Tari' and' Achin Pakhi' of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
On December 21, the first Dreamliner 'Sonar Tori' arrived in Dhaka from Seattle, USA, while Biman Bangladesh Airlines brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner 'Achin Pakhi' arrived in Dhaka on December 24.
The Premier also inaugurated the building of the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) Tk 21,300 crore' Third Terminal' to greatly increase the capacity of passengers and cargo.
The government will provide Tk 5,000 crore of the construction cost and the rest will be funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Mitsubishi and Fujita of Japan and Samsung of Korea were awarded to construct the terminal under a consortium.
