Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the capital have remained suspended since 3:15 am on Wednesday, due to a blanket of dense fog.

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) sources said flight operations at the airport were suspended since 3:30 am and all inbound and outbound flights were delayed due to poor runway visibility caused by thick fog.

Two scheduled outbound flights did not take off from the airport while no domestic flight departed the airport, the sources added.

On Wednesday morning, flight operations at HSIA were disrupted due to dense fog, affecting the schedules of over 33 domestic and international flights.
