Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the capital have resumed after seven hours of disruption due to a blanket of dense fog.

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) sources said flight operations at the airport were suspended since 3:00 am and resumed at 10:10 am on Wednesday.

Three international flights, including a cargo plane, were diverted to Kolkata while there was no flight operation on the domestic route.

Thick fog often disrupts operations at the country’s airports during winter.
