Three Chinese nationals, who are employed at the Barapukuria Coal Mine in Dinajpur, have been kept under close monitoring at a hospital here as a precautionary measure to avoid the spread of deadly Coronavirus.

Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Kuddus said they came to Bangladesh from China about 10 days ago.

“They’ve been kept at an isolated ward of a hospital inside the coal mine,” he said, adding that they have not yet shown any sign of infection.

AKM Badrul Alam, public relations officer at the coal mine, said more than 500 Chinese are currently employed there.
