NEWS24 team comes under attack at Nayabazar in capital

A reporting team of the privately run TV channel NEWS24 came under attack at Nayabazar in the capital by terrors of Illegal bonds around 2:00 pm on Tuesday noon.

The miscreants beat up the journalists, snatched away their camera and backpacks and vandalised the car of the TV channel, victim journalist Fakhrul Islam said. 

Witnesses said, "A team of the TV channel NEWS24 went to the spot as a part of their official duty. A group of bond terrorists swooped on them while they were discharging of their duties.

Reporter Fakhrul Islam and cameraperson Sheikh Jalal have sustained critical injuries in the attack.

Locals took the victims to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for treatment.
