Two more infected coronavirus in last 24 hours

Two more persons diagnosed positive with coronavirus (Covid-19) in Bangladesh in last 24 hours, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 51, according to the IEDCR.

Though the death toll from the disease has remained unchanged at five, Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora, director of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) said at an online media briefing on Tuesday.

“Six more people have recovered in the last 24 hours. Of all the people infected with the virus, 25 people have returned home,” Flora said.

The virus has infected more than 789,240 people globally with a death toll of 38,092, according to worlometers. 

IEDCR and other agencies have tested 140 samples in the last 24 hours.
