11 more die, 969 test positive for Covid-19 in last 24 hrs

Bangladesh confirmed 11 more deaths from the novel coronavirus, bringing the body count to 250 in the last 24 hours till Tuesday noon.

However, the highest single-day cases from coronavirus infection were reported in Bangladesh as 969 more people tested positive in the last 24 hours.

The number of total confirmed cases jumped to 16,660 with the most recent figure.

Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana, Additional Director-General of the Health Services Directorate (DGHS), released the information in the daily online health newsletter held on Tuesday afternoon at the Management Information System (MIS).

Thirty-eight coronavirus testing labs across the country have tested 6,773 samples in the last 24 hours, she added.
