Bangladesh logs highest COVID-19 infections in a day, 14 more die

Confirmed cases of coronavirus infection crossed the 22,000 mark in Bangladesh as the country reported the highest single-day cases in the last 24 hours with 1,273 more people testing positive.

The number of total confirmed cases jumped, with the latest report, to 22,268.

The world was also experiencing the deaths of fourteen more Covid-19 people during the same period, bringing the number of deaths in the country to 328.

Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana, currently serving as Director General of the Health Services Directorate (DGHS), announced the details in the regular online health bulletin held on Sunday afternoon at the Management Information System ( MIS).

Bangladesh reported its first croronaviurs case on March 8 while first death on March 18.

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
