35 new deaths of Coronavirus with 2635 new infections

As of today (6th June), Bangladesh has confirmed 63,026 Covid-19 infected patients, with counting 2635 new patients tested positive in the last 24 hours.

On Saturday, health authorities aired this announcement along with the report of 35 more deaths befell for this virus, which takes the total number of death to 846.

Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana put forth this latest figures in an online bulletin concerning the Covid-19 situation on Saturday afternoon.

To ignite the light of hope, she added around 521 patients have been recovered and released from hospitals meanwhile this same period. Counting that, the number of Covid-19 winner stands at 13,325.

She also reported that, 12,486 samples of coronavirus suspects have been tested during the last 24 hours. More than 50 coronavirus laboratories across the country are relentlessly occupied in this testing process.

On 8 March Bangladesh confirmed its first cases of coronavirus and on 18 March its first death.

The coronavirus outbreak was first reported in China on December 31 last year. On 11 March, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared this coronavirus crisis as a pandemic.
