Hospital staffer held for sexually harassing corona patient

Police arrested a staff of City Diabetic Hospital, Khulna this morning from the city’s Hafiznagar area on charge of sexual harassment of a woman who was taking Covid-19 treatment there.
Earlier, the hospital authority discharged him from his duty and shifted the patient to her home isolation yesterday, said Radhe Shyam Sarkar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sonadanga Model Police Station.
Arrested Nazrul, a ward boy of the hospital which has been turned into Corona Dedicated Hospital, sexually harassed the woman after wearing PPE around 2.00am on June 14 and managed to flee, the OC added.
On June 6, the woman was admitted to the hospital for taking Covid-19 treatment.
A case was filed in this connection.
