President mourns War hero Abu Osman Chowdhury’s death

President M Abdul Hamid on Saturday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of retired Lieutenant Colonel Abu Osman Chowdhury, commander of sector-8 during the 1971’s Liberation War.
In a message of condolence, the president said the nation with profound respect will recall the contribution of Abu Osman Chowdhury to the 1971 Liberation War forever.
Chowdhury breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka this morning. He had been suffering from various health complications for a long time. He was admitted to the hospital on August 30 noon with COVID-19 infection.
The head of the state prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
